New York’s first Red Bull Music Academy festival was an ambitious five-week event, complete with its own free newspaper (Daily Note) and exclusive online features to keep fans engaged. I was asked to produce a multimedia pop-up website about Manhattan’s most iconic music venues, complete with exclusive interviews (James Chance, Nancy Whang, Rhys Chatham) and curated video content.
“The Rent’s Too Damn High” (screen shot below) was taken offline when Red Bull decided to shut its popular music programs down, but you can find some mentions of it in the media on Curbed and Nylon.
